SS-K-EE – “Soft Skills – Key To Employment in Europe” is a transnational project which involves four development partnerships working in the scope of EU’s EQUAL theme “Employability – (Re-)integration into the labour market”, with the aim of learning through promoting and transferring know-how and good practice.
The four DPs of our transnational partnership come from France, Italy, Portugal and Hungary: each of those has significant experience in vocational and education intervention policies and in transnational co-operation activities
On the basis of preliminary contacts and meetings, which served to analyze our national EQUAL projects and meet eachother, we have identified some common features and drawn up the plan of our co-operation project, which will last about 24 months.
The project’s main purpose is to realize a confrontation on methodologies, studies, good practices and national products about the relevanca and impact of soft skills in the vocational and labor market integration of target group which comprises young people living in uneasy conditions, upper secondary school drop-outs, people at risk of inactivity and social exclusion and population groups discriminated (immigrants and women notably) (link a “TCA” sezione “Target group”).
In order to achieve that goal we have planned more common activites and the output of some common products.
The main activities of the SS-K-EE project are:
-
a comparative analysis on vocational and labour market integration of youth at risk of social exclusion and a survey on the key competences required by the labour market
-
a confrontation on the most efficient methodologies for the orientation applied by the single partners at national level
-
the identification of the most appropriate training methodologies for operators in charge of young people at the risk of social exclusion
-
a survey on the role and contribution of ICT knowledge to facilitate the integration into the labour market
Those activities will lead to some common products such joint studies and reports, a benchmarking on how to identify and upgrade soft skills in young unemployed and, in particular, to the outlining of a Good Practices Guide on integrated actions targeted to labour integration of young people at the risk of social exclusion.
The internet portal SS-K-EE is a product among the others, but a basic one: il will serve as a collector of all the other products realized both at national and transnazional level, as a mainstreaming tool and finally as a place where to communicate and exchange materials and opinions.
Its kernels are therefore the documentation center and the forum.
